Profession Profile
Every site has a property manager, either a rightful owner or agent legally qualified to hire-out a location for the purpose of filming. Before the site can be recommended as a potential location it is necessary to obtain the property manager’s consent.
With the aid of photos taken at each respective site, the location scout compiles a list of suggestions which are then presented to the production company. A tour of the proposed locations ensues. In cooperation with the production designer, realisation concepts are presented on-site. Proposed sites must be able to stand up to both creative as well as logistical review. Once a location has been decided on, the location scout provides the production company with the property manager’s contact details as well as notes pertaining to the settlement dialogue and cancels any unwanted sites.
